    A Skimmer and Return are essential components of all swimming pools. The skimmer is the rectangular 'opening' on the wall of the pool through which the pump pulls water to 'push' to the filter, where it ultimately arrives back at the pool!

    Doughboy has a specifically selected Skimmer/Return Plumbing Package for Hydrosphere Series Pools when installed fully inground.

    Package Includes:

    • Waterway Renegade Skimmer
    • Return with eyeball and fitting
    • 100' Roll of 1-1/2" White Flex PVC Pipe

    Although our package includes most of the fittings necessary for installation, you may need tools or supplies that are not included. Please consult the installation manual for proper installation procedures.

    The Waterway Renegade Inground Vinyl Pool Skimmer from Waterway is designed to work with all existing vinyl liner, steel, polymer or fiberglass pool walls. The Renegade includes a lock-down vacuum plate, extension collar and one of the largest skimmer baskets available. It twist-locks to prevent floating and easy-access. The Doughboy Hydrosphere Series Pool is a Semi-Inground Pool that has been specially designed with inground quality components for optimal performance when installed 24" or more in the ground while being more affordable and easier to install than an inground pool.

Features: 

  1. The 52" High Walls allow for a flat bottom while allowing a usable water depth. Most inground pools only have 42" walls which doesn't leave a high water level when finishing with a flat bottom.
  2. The Hydrosphere Pool bracing is more rubust and lower profile than traditional inground pool braces. This is a critical component to ensuring structural stability when only half the pool is buried. It also allows for easier finishing.
  3. The Semi-Inground top rail options allow for easy finishing by means of a wrap-around wood deck or other simple landscaping. We also offer inground coping options if you prefer to finish with a concrete deck.

Most Importantly - The Hydrosphere Series Pool can be installed FULLY INGROUND! We totally get why you would want an inground pool. But why not have the best of both worlds?? A more affordable pool, with inground quality components, a robust brace and structure, TALL WALLS that allow for a perfect flat bottom water-depth, and easier installation.
